My discovery of this charming apartment in Viddalba was one of those surprises that life brings
reserve when you least expect it.
I was in town for a photography project dedicated to the hidden beauty of Italian villages. It was during
an evening walk, while the last sun caressed the ancient stones of the village, which I came across
in this small newly built condominium.
On the first floor, through an elegantly finished door, our apartment opens. The livingroom
large, with its open kitchen and south-facing balcony, it offers a view that is a hymn to Gallura, with the
its landscapes that fade into shades of green and blue, which invites you to take a break and enjoy the
moment.
The bedrooms, also facing south, are bathed in a warm and reassuring light. The room
double bed, it is a welcoming and serene refuge, where every detail seems to whisper `welcome home`.
The single room, versatile and bright, is perfect both as a guest room and as a study, where
be inspired by the quiet of the place.
There are two complete bathrooms, the first preceded by an anteroom and with windows facing north,
offering fresh privacy, and the other, without window, carefully designed to maximize comfort and
functionality.
But Viddalba is much more than just a backdrop for this home. This village, nestled in the landscapes
unique to Gallura, it is a treasure of stories, traditions and natural beauty. With its natural spas, it is one
destination for those seeking well-being and relaxation in the heart of Sardinia. Its lands are ted with
archaeological evidence that tells millennia of history, from nuraghi to the giants tombs, offering
time travel to anyone who cares to listen.
A few minutes by car, we find various beaches where the Sardinian sea shows all its splendor,
with crystal clear waters and fine sandy beaches.
No less fascinating are the hiking routes that wind through the hills, where the scrub
Mediterranean opens up to surprising panoramas.
My visit left me with the certainty that, for some, this will not just be a home, but a
corner of the world where you can find inspiration, peace and a sense of belonging.
And whoever chooses to make this place their home will have found a treasure that goes beyond value
of the property: he will have found a piece of paradise on earth.
